2026 Community Grants Awarded

The Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the Community Challenge Grant Awards for the 2026 funding cycle

2026 Ride of Silence (5/19/26 @ 7pm)

The 2026 Ride of Silence scheduled for May 19, 2026. We will organize and ride from the parking lot at Founder's Park (aka Farmer's Mkt). Please arrive by 6:30 pm to get your bike ready as we will depart the parking lot precisely at 7pm with police escort with the bell-chime from the tower. Bike to Market, Maryville TN (May 2, 2026)

Bike to Market sponsored by Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation returns to the Maryville Farmers Market on May, 2, 2026. Visit our tent to learn more about the work of the Foundation and its work to improve bicycling safety in Tennessee.

Middle TN Veloteers Promote STR License Plate

Our friend Bill Anderson and the Middle TN Veloteers promoted the STR license plate recently in the Bike Ride across Wilson County @ the TN State Fair and The Elk River Valley 100 during the Labor Day Weekend. Thanks for your Efforts. Ride Fast, Live Slow and always keep the rubber side down.

2026 Community Grants Awarded

The Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the Community Challenge Grant Awards for the 2026 funding cycle. Each year proposals are solicited state-wide from local bicycle clubs and community bicycle programs to fund projects that promote bicycling as a safe and health form of recreation and transportation. This year Grant Awards totaling $12,750 were awarded to the following organizations:

1.   Friends of TN Central Trail (Putnam Co), “Functional Art/Bike Rack Mural -trail business district”.

2.   Town of Hornbeak TN (Obion Co), "to support the community bike day".

3.   Downtown Alliance, Maryville, TN, “greenway improvements”

4.  Unicoi County TN Chamber of Commerce "Support Bicycle Kid's Safety Day"

5.  Hope Hohenwald, TN "supporting bike from school day"

7.  Bike Walk Knoxville TN, "safety materials to support Bicycle Education programming"

8. Niswonger Children's Hospital" bicycle helmet distribution and other safety items"

9. White Oak Bicycle Co-Op, Red Bank TN, "Outdoor Chattanooga traffic garden for safety education"

10. Bike Fun, Nashville TN " All ages learn to ride safety class series"

11. Kickstand Community Bike Shops, "Public use bicycle pump and repair station"

12. Grow Partnership Tennessee "Community cycling leadership program"

13. Friends of Mill Park, Antioch TN " Community Bicycling initiatives for underserved residental poulation"

14. Sequoyah Council Scouting America" Supporting bicycle safety and basic mechanical mantainence instructon"

The Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation’s Community Challenge Grant Program is funded by proceeds from the Tennessee Share the Road license plate and supports the Foundation’s mission to promote bicycling as a safe and healthy form of recreation and transportation.
