2022 League Cycling Instructor Seminar

Registration is now open for the 2022 League Cycling Instructor Seminar at Henry Horton State Park

2022 Ride of Silence (5/18/22 @ 7pm)

We are pleased to announce the return of the 2022 Ride of Silence as a "live in person event" scheduled for May 18, 2022. We will organize and ride from the Blount Co courthouse as in years past. Please arrive by 6:30 pm to get your bike ready as we will depart the parking lot precisely at 7pm with the bell-chime from the tower. Additional information can be found under the Events tab.

The annual Ride of Silence to raise awareness of cyclists injured or killed in motor vehicle accidents is scheduled for May 19, 2021 at 7:00 PM local time worldwide.

The League of American Bicyclists Instructor Certification Seminar 2022

September 23-25, 2022

The League’s Smart Cycling program is delivered nationally by over 2,000 League Cycling Instructors. The Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation fulfills its mission to promote safe cycling by providing opportunities for Tennessee cyclists to become League Certified Instructors during its annual seminar weekend. Qualified candidates will learn how to deliver the League Smart Cycling Program and become credentialed instructors. The JCRF offers a limited number of scholarships to encourage TN communities to identify instructor-candidates with interest in development and promotion of local Smart Cycling Programs. 2022 Community Grant Program

Community Bike Challenge Grants Program for 2022

The Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation is happy to announce the return of its 2022 Community Bike Challenge Program.  Local bicycle clubs, community bicycle programs, and other not for profit and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to submit proposals for projects that promote bicycling as a safe and healthy form of recreation and transportation.  Projects with potential for achieving community wide impact like encouragement of new cyclists of all age groups, safe cycling programs, promotion of cycling as family recreation, facilitating bicycle maintenance in underserved populations, education of law enforcement and judicial agencies on current bicycle-pedestrian legislation, etc. will receive greatest consideration for funding.
